daperKate’s Cupboard’s Biannual Benefit

When we talk about sharing God’s gifts we often discuss them in terms of TIME, TALENT and TREASURE.  The upcoming Kate’s Cupboard benefit, An Angelic Evening, provides you with the opportunity to share any and all of these gifts with young mothers and babies who are in need. Kate’s Cupboard’s mission is to strengthen God’s family and our community through emergency assistance to mothers of infant children.  The organization is run entirely by volunteers and is funded through donations and a bi-annual benefit event.

TREASURE is the most obvious gift to share with a benefit. We are planning oral and silent auctions at the event and are looking for gifts that can be auctioned. Gifts of any kind would be welcome. Think of things that you would enjoy winning the bid on and you have probably come up with a great item.  Items can range from a dozen golf balls to a week in a condo. The possibilities are endless.  If you would like to get “more bang for your buck” you can purchase gift certificates from the Trinity Youth to donate to the Kate’s Cupboard benefit. Cash donations would also be appreciated and would be put to good use.

TALENTS vary greatly among us and that is a good thing!  As we plan and organize the benefit we can see the need for so many different skills among the volunteers.  We need people who are willing to ask for donations, people who can write up items for our catalog, people to host gift gathering parties, people who will organize our silent and oral auction booths, people who can help us transport our gifts to the event and help with set up, and the list goes on.xrib

TIME is a gift from God that many of us take for granted but it is amazing what can be done in a short period of time. The members of the Trinity community will all receive an invitation to the benefit in September. We would like you to spend the evening of   November 14th with us at the benefit. It will be a fun evening with music, food, auctions and friends! We would also like to invite other people who are special to you too. It would help us greatly if you would think of neighbors, friends and family members who would enjoy an evening out with your church community. Take a few minutes to gather their addresses and send them to Audrey Senour, 975 W. McKelvey, Cincinnati, OH 45231 or email them to us at cgreber@fuse.net

We mentioned a number of tasks in the paragraphs above that will take a variety of time from one afternoon to haul auction items from storage to Receptions, to several hours to plan and host a gift gathering party to time over months to enter data.  Do you have time to share with us?

Please consider how you might use your treasure, talents and time to help us make “An Angelic Evening” a successful, fun event.
